Honor Thy Needle

Wonderful pyramid Etui cross stitch kit from Twisted Oaks Designs. The kit includes the die cut matboard, wood beads, needle magnet, charts and detailed finishing instructions. You'll need to supply 28 count Chai Tea Jobelan (18" x 27" includes enough material for ornaments as well), lining fabric of your choice (13" x 18" includes enough for ornaments as well), fusible craft-weight non-woven interfacing (12" x 24"), poly-fill for pin cushion, white tacky glue, double faced tape, and a small curved tapestry needle. There is a silk pack available separately for this design that includes Dinky Dyes in 33 Desert Sand, 38 Barrier Reef, 87 Yallingup, 100 Lilly Pilly, 112 Banksia, 118 Iron Bank, and 135 Dandenong. You will also need DMC #12 524 Perle Cotton, 3 skeins #5 perle cotton 524, #5 perle cotton 352, #5 perle cotton 552, #5 perle cotton 915, #5 perle cotton 3731 or your choice of perle cotton colors for cording.
The verse on the exterior of the etui reads "A needle though it be small and slender, Yet is both a maker and mender." On the inside of the pyramid, each pyramid wall has a space for a little needlework tool such as a clover cutter, small scissors and ruler. In the center of the pyramid is a pyramid-shaped removable pin cushion. The pin cushion stays put in the pyramid without bouncing around due to the magnet in the bottom.
