Individual spool of #8 Fine braid (not in blister pack). Recommended needle size for #8 Fine braid is Tapestry needle size 22 or 24. These needles have a large enough eye to minimize damage to the thread.
The width of a single strand of #8 Fine braid is approximately .50mm for the basic colors, .55mm for the hi lustre colors, .58mm for the cord colors, .43 for the Japan colors and .57 for the fluorescent colors.
Care
Kreinik braids are hand or machine washable using cool water. Do not use bleach. They can be tumble-dried on a low setting. When ironing, press on the wrong side using a pressing cloth and do not use steam.
Tips
When stitching with metallic threads, be sure to use short lengths of thread to reduce abrasion as you pull the thread through your fabric. You may wish to use Thread Heaven or slightly moisten the thread to reduce twisting while stitching. It is also helpful to use the stab method when stitching with metallic threads rather than the "sewing" method.
